The Scottish Child Abuse Inquiry has said abuse at Gordonstoun School, where both King Charles and his father Prince Philip were students, went unchecked for ‘decades’.

Lady Smith said of the new findings: ‘I have no difficulty in finding that children were abused at Gordonstoun and Aberlour in a variety of ways over a long period of time.’

Prince Andrew hopes to leave his Royal Lodge home to his daughters ‘after his death’

Despite being asked to move out of his royal digs by his older brother King Charles, Prince Andrew has reportedly said he wants to leave the lease to the Royal Lodge to his daughters.

The Daily Mail reported that Andrew hopes to leave it to Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice ‘after his death’.

But the lease is a long one – first signed in 2003, it’s set to expire in 2078, meaning Eugenie and Beatrice’s own young children could inherit it one day.

The disgraced Duke ofYork, who no longer carries out official duties, currently lives in Royal Lodge with with ex-wife Sarah Ferguson.

Now his brother King Charles is reportedly willing to pay for Andrew to live comfortably out of his own private funds.

A friend of the monarch told The Times: ‘Unfortunately, if Andrew refuses to leave within a reasonable time frame, then the King may be forced to reassess the whole package of support he provides.

‘And the duke would be required to fund the lion’s share of his security, accommodation and lifestyle costs all on his own – which, given the sums involved, is highly unlikely to be possible in the long term.’

Andrew could not meet the £400,000-a-year upkeep of the royal residence, which is worth around £30 million.

From England at the Euros to Aston Villa: What football teams do the Royals support?

    Sarah Hooper

The Royals have been spotted at various football matches over the years, but many have been left wondering – who exactly do they support? (Other than England, of course).

Wonder no more – but some of the answers might surprise you.

In 2012, King Charles shocked many after revealing he supports Burnley FC.

He said: ‘Burnley has been through some very challenging times and I’m trying to find ways of helping to regenerate and raise aspirations and self-esteem in that part of the world.’

The Prince of Wales is a keen Aston Villa supporter, choosing the team as he didn’t want to follow a ‘run of the mill team’ like Chelsea or Manchester.

His brother Prince Harry has been tight lipped about his footie allegiances, but it’s been rumoured he’s a secret Arsenal fan.

Princess Kate revealed in 2015 that she supports Chelsea.

And the late Queen? She’s thought to have been a secret ‘Gooner’, supporting Arsenal. But others have suggested she secretly loved West Ham.
